Individual overflow valves to protect the pumps
In order to protect a system or container, overflow valves (also called bypass valves or control valves) can be used. Once the pressure is too high, the valve activates a bypass, which reduces the pressure within the system. The media now flows through the open overflow valve, and the bypass leads it back into the flow of the pump, thereby creating a separate loop. The media continues to flow through the bypass valve, until the pressure within the system is reduced and causes the overflow valve to close again.
