Cap as an end piece for pipes and fittings
A cap is fitted in the pipe construction as an end piece on pipes or fittings. Unlike a plug, the cap has a conical female thread according to DIN EN 10226-1 instead of a male thread. The pipe cap comprises galvanized malleable cast iron and can be used for an operating pressure up to 25 bar (at -20°C up to 120°C). The cap is available in the nominal widths 3/8“ – 4“ inches.
