The DISCO-check-valve is a special design of the check valves. It is special because of its construction. The design varies harshly in comparison with swing check valves. A toroidal spring pushes the check valve`s plate against the inside of the housing. As a result, it closes the pipeline system against any backflows. If the pressure comes from the front side, the plate disc opens within the housing und lets the liquid or gaseous medium flow. The installation position of the check valve is arbitrary because of its spring. What is furthermore beneficial is its short overall length.

Be it for industrial purposes or pipeline constructions, check valves are used if there a special needs regarding the material. This is why check valves are only fabricated from stainless steel and brass. Because of its special design check valves can be used for pipelines both with PN6, PN10, PN16, PN40 and ANSI150 and ANSI300. Thereby the check valves are increasing their flexibility dramatically. Depending on the medium that is flowing through the valve, check valves can be fabricated with an EPDM, NBR, FKM, PTFE or metal seals. DISCO check valves are fabricated with flange connections with a diameter from DN15 up to DN300. Other than that, they can be produced with a male or female thread’s diameter from 1/4“ to 1/2“ inches. Check valves only need a very low cracking pressure of 0.2 bar. Depending on its design, they can be used with pressure up to 700 bar. Because of our modular design special cracking pressures are available upon request. Even special sized check valves can be made possible by our technical experts.
