Reliably sealing check valves!
check valves are usually used in pipeline systems (e.g. drains) in order to prevent a backflow of the medium. The swing check valve only allows the medium to flow in one direction. Should the pressure within the system exceed the valves resistance, the swing check opens in flow direction and allows for the medium to flow through. Once the pressure goes back to below the valve resistance, or even changes the flow direction of the medium, the swing check valve closes and seals reliably. In contrast to ball valves or butterfly valves, the closing of the valve happens automatically, regulated only through the pressure and flow of the medium.
